Read the holy mothers as teachers of the spiritual life.
Miterikon brings women’s monastic counsel into the center of the reading experience. Compiled by Abba Isaiah for the nun Theodora and transmitted through Saint Theophan’s Russian work, it joins lives and sayings to instructions on prayer, humility, temptation, and endurance. This English volume complements collections of the Desert Fathers by opening another part of the ascetical inheritance to sustained attention.
